To celebrate finishing the first draft of my thesis I went to the Kiosk last night to hear readings in German by Patricia Brooks, Nadja Bucher, Wolfgang Kindermann and Carina Nekolny (Carina from the SfD Workshop). Here’s a pic of Carina with her book, Stimmen / Ränder, at the Kiosk.
The Kiosk is a corner bar that, apart from drinks, serves only sausage=Wurst. “Wurst” also means something like “it’s all the same to me” in the local lingo, so it was fitting that the theme of the evening was “nicht mehr wurst” – not.
