Although its been under new ownership since I left Geneva, I couldn’t resist going back to the Cafe du Soleil for a salad of chicken livers. The restaurant was packed by the time my Kiwi writer friend, Jo Ann Hansen Rasch, arrived to catch up and to talk about writing and her book, Blowing Feathers, the story of her mother’s life which Jo Ann has captured in a unique voice. Bookshops in New Zealand are already showing avid interest.
