And what wonderful hours they were! Zoe King, editor of Cadenza Magazine spent them with me to give me moral support at the Menzies Centre. It was an intimate affair with good wine and warm interest in my reading and academic work on smell in expat fiction. My thanks to Dr Ian Henderson for arranging it all. 
Zoe and I went to celebrate afterwards at Prezzo’s just near our Bloomsbury hotel. Needless to say, we talked all night fired up from the good vibes at
the reading. Before leaving London we spent the morning at the British Library where I found the perfect seat. What a place! I must come back. Spend a week there.
