Tomorrow is Flash Fiction Day and I’ll be celebrating by reading flash from my new collection Mercury Blobs at Shakespeare & Co, Vienna at 5pm.There’ll be celebrations on everywhere and lots of free flashes. I’m thrilled that one of the pieces from Mercury Blobs will be on Flash Flood at 2pm. It’s called “Sweet Dreams” and is a bit of loopy fun with maybe a tiny kick.
There are already lots of flash pieces up from all over the world at Flash Mob. So do explore the different regions of the world and see how they flash.
There’ll be free flash Kindles to download and a flash competition for entries ONLY on 22 June by the guest fiction editor of The Stinging Fly, Nuala Ní Chonchúir.
Oh, and of course you knew that Lydia Davis just won the Man-Booker Prize for her micro fiction.
Flash has arrived! Happy Flash Fiction Day!
