Saw Perfume today – in English at the Burg Kino. It was great. I had recently read Patrick Süskind’s book and felt the film had kept to it very well – an almost impossible feat. I didn’t smell anything when I saw the film, but I remember smelling all sorts of smells when I was reading the book. Such is the strength of the imagination, I guess. For a taste of the film check out this German site. It’s in Flash and almost a film in itself. There’s the soundtrack and extras and on the main page there’s a pdf teaching tool.
